Call for artists’ expression of interest

Van20gogh

Youghal Blue & Green Community Network, which represents 20 community groups and 20 active individuals, is focused on working with communities in relation to the environment, coast, energy transition and sustainability. From 2023 to 2025 we are focused on climate action and wish to develop a project with artists that takes a co-creative approach to responding to the impacts of climate change at local level.

(We wish to apply to the Creative Ireland fund). We want to be creative, active and successful in bringing communities on this journey of change that is required.

Assets: Blackwater estuary, quay side, fishing, experiential, Ballyvergan marsh and wildlife, slob banks, otters, wild flowers, Zero Waste festival.

Rivers, water, ocean, sand dunes, grasses, birds and trees. Intergenerational.

We would like to hear from artists who are potentially interested in this project with a view to holding an online discussion in the coming weeks to prepare a project plan. Funding applications will be made by the Network.

Please email blueandgreennetwork@gmail.com for more information.

You can see the Network’s activity at www.youghalblueandgreennetwork.blogspot.com

Deadline for expressions of interest 27th January 2023.
