  1. Youghal Energy evening being held on Nov 9th from 6.30pm at Pobal Scoil na Trinóide. Please encourage everyone you know and member organisations to attend. This is the only roadshow being held in Cork County and Youghal was chosen at the key location.

  2. Coastal Communities building resilience to climate change – Workshops with Martin Le Tissier UCC. Week commencing Dec 12th. I only have 6 names for this workshop and we need 10-12 to run it. If anyone else in the Network or in your organisation is interested – can you send me in names and contact details please? Thank you.

3. SEAI Winter Workshop series:

10 workshops will run online across Winter into Spring 2023, providing support to communities and homeowners through the winter in keeping well, keeping warm, and energy efficiency tips to reduce bills.

Workshops will cover a range of topics from how to read your bill, all about BER’s, no-cost / low-cost energy efficiency measures, to insulation options and renewables.

  • Workshop 7: A Guide to Heat Pumps | 9th March 2023
  • Workshop 8: Solar Electricity: PV for Homeowners | 23rd/30th March 2023
  • Workshop 9: Sustainable Transport | 20th April 2023
  • Workshop 10: Community Energy Generation | 27th April 2023

4. The Community Energy Federation of Ireland (CEFI) is hosting the latest in its series of information meetings NEXT TUESDAY NIGHT, 8th November at 7.30 pm on the topic Solar and Community Centres. This is an online event and will feature speakers Gene Finn of Camp Community Centre on the Dingle Peninsula and John Hassett from Tipperary Energy Agency.
