Yesterday evening we had a splendid walk with Karen Loxton of WildWork along the boardwalk at Claycastle. So much to see and so much to learn! With the variety of plants and the warm weather, a great time was had by all.
All intent on the learning…below just some of the varied species we identified
Rest Harrow (the purple ones) and Lady’s Bedstraw – also know as Maids Hair
Sea Rocket – bitter but tasty!
…and Sea Holly
Wild Carrot
Swans swimming across the sea (in the distance); a collection of snail shells, and more intent listeners!
