Two new initiatives from The Community Foundation for Ireland on Earth Day.
Today we join campaigners and changemakers across the globe in marking #WorldEarthDay2022. At The Community Foundation for Ireland we are taking firm actions and I wanted you to be one of the first to hear about two very exciting developments.
Firstly we have a new opportunity for communities across the island to receive support for their efforts to protect and promote local plants and wildlife through the newAXA Parksfund.
We are also bringing a fresh environment and nature lens to all our grant-making with a new thematic pillar ‘Sustainable Futures‘.
You will be aware that The Community Foundation, our donors and you our community partners have taken a lead in both combatting climate action and protecting biodiversity. Together we have confronted the greatest of all challenges and communities across Ireland are benefitting.
Now we are redoubling our efforts.
