National Tree Week March 20 – March 26th

Dear National Tree Week Participants, (I will put this on the blog+ other news tomorrow).

I hope you are keeping well and thank you for your interest in National Tree Week, taking place this year from Sunday March 20 to Saturday March 26 2022.

Cork County Council has kindly received an allocation of trees from the Tree Council of Ireland for distribution and the varieties available are as follows:

Beech

Common Birch

Silver Birch

Hazel

Pedunculate Oak

Red Oak

Scots Pine

Please state the varieties you are seeking and the quantities sought. These trees come in bundles of 10 and are all saplings, ranging in height from c. 2 feet to 5 feet. Delivery will be made primarily during the week of Monday 21stMarch with some deliveries either side of this also. Please indicate if you could collect the trees from a Council office in a nearby town (i.e. within a half hour drive or so) or if there is a need/preference for the trees to be delivered on site.

In relation to any community planting events, etc. and their promotion, please mention Cork County Council and Tree Council of Ireland on social media posts, etc. and events can also be registered on the Tree Council’s website(https://treecouncil.ie/registeranevent) to promote to the wider public.
